振興醫院EECP中心開始營運
振興自民國八十三年九月成立心臟內外科中心以來，在魏崢醫師之指導下，心臟內外科業務蒸蒸日上；各科的成長及全中新形象的改變，亦使國內其他醫院為之側目。
目前已完成一千四百餘例的開心手術，也成功地進行七十五例換心手術(移植小組自七十五年始，在三軍總醫院與本中心，總共完成一百三十三例換心手術)，每年開心手術之數目亦快速持續成長中，今年總數更突破五百例。這其中包括許多高難度再次開心手術或冠狀動脈疾病合併心室功能不良者、主動脈剝離症者及罕見之手術，如 Batista、Bentall's
等手術，手術成功率近百分之百；更首創使用國產人工心臟，救治垂危病患，開啟亞洲醫學新頁。
施行心導管人數也日益增加，迄今共計已超過三千例；其中冠狀動脈擴張術逾六百例，八十七年迄今心導管人數已達一千三百餘例。其中急診施行心管、冠狀動脈擴張術及放置冠狀動脈支架者共計二百餘例，平均四至五天出院，成功率亦接近百分之百。自今年起，心臟內科創新引進自手部繞動脈進行心導管檢查及手術之技術，減輕病人受檢之痛苦，減少併發症病縮短住院日數，深獲病患好評，已成為振興心臟科之一大特色，且每年新導管及其他檢查，如心臟超音波等，都快速的持續成長中。
心臟科專屬加護病房及病房人員，都受過專業訓練，皆有數年至十數年經驗，每年還定期舉辦加護中心訓練班，以培訓更多專業人才，造福病患。
心臟中心一直秉持著相互支援、不分彼此的意念，大力推展業務下，共同帶動振興升級為一流教學醫院與心臟醫學中心，成為全國醫學院學生競相學習的院所。
2009年四五月間成功為一位等待心臟移植患者完成治療，該患者完成治療後生活品質獲得良好改善。
